About Us

For over 150 years, grassroots sport has been at the heart of TV Zellingen. Not titles and trophies, but people and community: that's what defines our club. Anyone who plays sport and gives their best is a champion here.

Our history goes back to the days of the German Empire. The club has weathered ups and downs because its members were always more than athletes: they took responsibility. That's how the Zellingen volunteer fire brigade grew out of the gymnastics club in 1867, and the club was a co-founder of the Zellingen Red Cross. Later came the multi-purpose hall on Badstrasse, six outdoor tennis courts and a tennis hall.

Today we're a lively club with many departments, and a new chapter: padel.

In March 2026 we founded the padel department of TV Zellingen, making us one of the first clubs in the Main-Spessart district to offer padel professionally.

Padel is the fastest-growing sport in Germany. What has long been a mass phenomenon in Spain and Sweden is now arriving in the region too, and we're part of it. There are still very few padel facilities in Main-Spessart. We're changing that, with two modern outdoor courts in Zellingen, bookable daily for members and guests.
